#09 ST. GEORGE SPIRITS

SO FRESH, SO GOOD!

This cask transports you to a Californian beach, Highway 1 behind you and whiskey in hand. It’s fresh and alive, with spice, green pepper and fresh coffee to taste. A totally delicious complex oddity.

TASTES LIKE

This whisky kicks off with a bright, peppery punch from green pepper and fresh jalapeño (no, we have no idea where this flavour comes from from a production standpoint, but we like it!) combined with the aroma you get when walking past your favourite coffee shop, balanced by the gentle sweetness of poached pears. It finishes smooth with creamy white chocolate matcha and the comforting crunch of Hob Nobs.

MEET THE DISTILLERY

Situated in the Bay Area of San Francisco, when St. George Spirits was founded in 1982 by Jörg Rupf, it kick-started the modern American artisan distilling movement.

OTHER COOL THINGS ABOUT THIS WHISKY

Beer Foam Drink Streamline Icon: https://streamlinehq.com

Distilled Beer

This experimental malt began as a coffee stout, made from 100% malted barley and with coffee added to the brew.

Barrel Streamline Icon: https://streamlinehq.com

New American Oak cask

This malt was matured in a new oak, burgundy-style barrel. It was made from oak from the Midwest, near Minnesota, and air-dried for 24 months before being assembled at Kelvin Cooperage.

Experimental Malt

Due to the addition of coffee during brewing, we’re unable to call this a whiskey in the EU. Everything else fits the bill, just not this one piece - so, instead, it’s an Experimental Malt. Cheers!
