TASTES LIKE

If you’re into synaesthesia, this whiskey is all about ORANGE! Orange almond polenta cake, lemon drops, apricots, peach iced tea (a really great home-made one), hot buttered crumpets with lashings of butter, lemon drizzle cake and a touch of spice.

MEET THE DISTILLERY

OTHER COOL THINGS ABOUT THIS WHISKEY

Sauternes wine Cask Finish

Sauternes is a sweet wine from Bordeaux, France, known for its distinctive flavours of honey, dried apricots and lemon. So, in this instance, the use of a Sauternes cask for finishing imparts some of these delightful flavours to the final whiskey. YUM.

Bottled-in-Bond

Bottled-in-bond is an American Whiskey classification that speaks to a whiskey's provenance and location. To be labelled as such, the whiskey must be aged for a minimum of four years, and bottled at exactly 50%abv (100 proof). It must be made by one distiller, in a single distillery (so not a blend of distilleries) in one season, and must be aged in a bonded warehouse. Curious to know more? Our friends at Rabbit Hole distillery in Kentucky (another great whiskey and distillery) wrote this article which sums it up nicely.
