This whisky is unapologetically juicy from the first sip. Passion fruit and ripe tropical fruit lead the charge, backed by rich vanilla and panettone sweetness. A bright flicker of bitter orange keeps things fresh, while toasted almonds and cacao nibs bring structure and a gently drying finish. It’s American single malt - turned up and tuned beautifully.

The newly emerged American Single Malt Whiskey category is gaining momentum, and there’s one distillery we’ve had eyes on since the start. Westward Whiskey brew like a craft ale, distill like a Single Malt and age like a Bourbon to create something otherworldly delicious, and this single cask blew us away with its super juicy and tropical character.

Juicy passion fruit, American Single Malt swagger - this whiskey’s a crowd-pleaser with real tropical energy. Thanks to its fermentation with ale yeast, it pairs brilliantly with bright, fruit-forward beers.
We’ve gone for Attic Brew Co’s Rolling Waves Hazy Pale, and, for a lower-strength pour for that perfect high/low Tiny Rebel’s Clwb Tropica non alc. Cheers!
THE DISTILLERY IN 60 SECONDS
Westward Whiskey was founded in Portland, Oregon, with a clear mission: to create a distinctly American single malt shaped by the Pacific Northwest. Using locally grown barley, new American oak, and a brewing-led approach inspired by craft beer, they produce whiskies that are bold, balanced, and unapologetically flavour-driven.
We chose this cask because it captures Westward’s style at its most joyful—juicy, fruit-led, and full of character, showing just how exciting American single malt can be.
